Board Passes Renewal Motion

At the meeting of Regina Board of Education on January 10, 2012, the following motion of the Regina Public Schools Renewal Plan was adopted:

1) That Haultain School be closed at the end of the 2011-12 school year and that its attendance area be consolidated with that of Glen Elm School; with all current regular Kindergarten to Grade 8 pupils (and their siblings) attending Haultain School to be eligible for transportation (in accordance with established procedures) to either Glen Elm School, McDermid School or Imperial School commencing with the 2012-13 school year.

As a result, transition planning will be occurring throughout the spring. This planning will include students, parents, school community councils, staff, school division staff and other involved community members. Let's Stay Healthy!

Regina Public Schools reminds all parents and guardians to keep students who are ill, or not feeling well, at home. Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region recommends that any students demonstrating signs of flu should stay home for a full seven days. If you have any questions, please contact your school principal.
